La scienza trasforma costantemente la società che abbiamo attorno e le innovazioni che ne derivano possono cambiare completamente le nostre vite, per questo crediamo che la divulgazione e comunicazione scientifica abbia un ruolo fondamentale per aiutarci a navigare le nostre scelte e a comprendere i mutamenti del mondo complesso che ci circonda.
Per questo, in occasione della Conferenza Internazionale sui Sistemi Complessi (CCS25) abbiamo organizzato un evento pubblico gratuito in italiano chiamato “La Complessità è semplice?” la sera di Mercoledì 3 settembre alle 20.30 al Teatro dei Rinnovati nel Palazzo Pubblico di Siena (Il Campo 1, 53100, Siena (Italia)).
La serata ruoterà attorno a quattro temi: Economia e finanza, biologia ed ecologia, neuroscienze e fenomeni sociali. L’evento è aperto alla comunità locale, studenti, insegnanti, appassionati e persone come te, che con la scienza e la matematica di solito fanno a botte, e vedrà protagonisti quattro ricercatori che, guidati dalla vibrante energia del collettivo “La Scienza Coatta”, ci spiegheranno cosa sono i sistemi complessi, come si possono studiare per renderli piu semplici e comprensibili. Le ricercatrici e i ricercatori saliranno sul palco a turno per presentare un QUIZZONE interattivo, fondendo scienza, fisica e cultura pop.

Science constantly transforms the society around us, and the innovations it brings can completely change our lives.
That’s why we believe that scientific communication and outreach play a crucial role in helping us navigate our choices and understand the changes unfolding in the complex world we live in. For this reason, on the occasion of the International Conference on Complex Systems (CCS25), we’ve organized a free public event in Italian called “Is Complexity Simple?” on the evening of Wednesday, September 3rd at 8:30 PM at the Teatro dei Rinnovati in the Palazzo Pubblico of Siena (Il Campo 1, 53100, Siena, Italy).
The evening will revolve around four themes: Economics and finance, biology and ecology, neuroscience, and social phenomena. The event is open to the local community, students, teachers, enthusiasts, and people like you—yes, even those who usually clash with science and math!
Four researchers, guided by the vibrant energy of the collective La Scienza Coatta,
will take the stage to explain what complex systems are and how we can study them to make them more simple and understandable.
The scientists will take turns presenting an interactive MEGA QUIZ, blending science, physics, and pop culture.
